COVID
Thank you to everyone for being vigilant in helping keep each other safe.  Practicing good hygiene has certainly helped prevent sickness from spreading across the school, while those that are close contacts and positive COVID cases are isolating as required.  We are following Department of Health guidelines and protocols and thank you for assisting us in adhering to the regular changes that are made.  A reminder to please let the school know if you child receives a positive COVID result.  When isolating, the day of testing positive is day zero.  The seven days of isolation start from the next day.  For example, if your child tests positive on Tuesday, they are able to return to school the following Wednesday if they are feeling well and no longer exhibiting COVID symptoms.

Canteen Lunch Orders
Please ensure all lunch orders are in at the school by 9:00am every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Jackie in the canteen is working tirelessly preparing tasty menu options, however all lunch orders are cooked to order.  Spare lunches are not prepared allowing us to reduce any wastage, maximise time and reduce costs.  This means that it is not possible to order lunches after 9:00am.  If a child or parent forget to put a lunch order in, the child will have the choice of a pre-prepared toasted sandwich for lunch on that day.  Thank you for your support and understanding.

Raffle books are being sent home with the eldest child in each family today, tickets are $1.00 each. You are able to use both sides of the tickets if you wish to purchase, making each book worth $20 in total. 

We will also be holding an Out of Uniform Day on Friday, 1st April - students are asked to bring a quality egg donation rather than a gold coin donation to contribute to Easter Raffle hampers.

We will no longer be stocking polar fleece jackets or polar fleece beanies in our uniform store, therefore, we have some reduced stock that we are wanting to clear out.

As we have limited stock left, items will be sold on a first-in-best-dressed basis.

Early in Term 2, we will have a new style of beanie available for students to purchase - beanies will be $25 each. We will provide parents with further information on how to order when they arrive. There will be no pre-ordering available.

5-6N and 5-6G have been working on a class novel together. “Hatchet” is a story about a young boy, Brian, who is the sole survivor of a plane crash. Throughout the novel, Brian learns as much about himself as he does the tricks of surviving in the wilderness. Students are required to answer questions at the end of each chapter and discuss their answers with their peers. Here are some drawings of what the students thought Brian’s camp looked like.

Just a friendly reminder that our cut-off time for canteen lunch orders is 9:00am each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning.

Orders will not be accepted after 9:00am as food is made to order. If your child/ren forget their lunch or forget to put their order in we will have toasted sandwiches available for purchase only.

When using Qkr to order lunches, please ensure the correct day/date is selected!

If your child is a close contact and then tests positive whilst they are isolating, can you please inform the school as soon as possible! This will help us in keeping our records as up to date as possible and ensure that we have the correct return to school date.
