Principal's Report

School Association
The School Association held the AGM on Tuesday, it was fantastic to see some new faces representing the school community. Throughout the meeting, a number of items were discussed including the Rocky Cape bus stop, school literacy and numeracy programs, Breakfast Club and the amazing efforts of the Fundraising group. We welcome new School Association members Sara, Alex and Manny. If you would like to attend any School Association meetings as an observer, you are more than welcome. The Association will next meet on the 2nd of August at 6.30pm.

Cross Country
Congratulations to the Grade 3-6 students who represented Boat Harbour Primary School in the North West Cross Country yesterday. We are very proud of the effort students put into the race with every child determined to do their best. Well done!

Assembly
Due to the changes in Covid-19 restrictions, we are now able to host our first assembly of the year. This is an excellent way to showcase our students’ achievements and we hope to see you there! There are still some spacing requirements so there will be two assemblies on Thursday, 7th July.
Kinder - Grade 2 – 11:15am
Grade 3–6 (including 2-3W) – 1:30pm

Covid-19
Thank you to the school community for your vigilance and cooperation with Covid regulations this term. With the Winter months upon us, it’s a timely reminder to be on the lookout for symptoms and for your child to stay home if they are unwell and get tested. If you require more RATs, please contact the front office.

Cold Weather
As the cold weather seems to have settled in for the Winter period, we are encouraging students to wear their jumpers and warm school uniform to help them stay healthy. It is a good idea to pack a spare pair of socks in case children’s feet get wet. No hats are required during Term 2 and 3, however, students are certainly welcome to wear them if they wish. They may also wear a beanie outside at recess and lunch.
