Principal's Report
Calm, settled classrooms
I am continually impressed by the positive behaviour, attitude and effort across our wonderful school. In every class I see students engaged in their learning, building collaborative skills and supporting each other. This week we are focussing on being respectful, as a whole school we discussed together what this looks like, what it sounds like and how we will know if we are achieving it. Please take the time to talk with your child(ren) about respect, how it’s achieved and why it is important in our lives.
Maths Relay
All of our Grade 3 – 6 students participated in maths relays this week. This was an opportunity for students to work in teams to problem solve, working together to find the answers to a variety of challenges of varying difficulty. It was a great way to have fun while doing maths and to see students being persistent to achieve a common goal. Well done everyone for trying your best!
Head lice
Head lice continues to be a significant inconvenience across the school. Please be vigilant in checking your family and treating them as necessary. If we all do this we can stop head lice spreading! Thank you everyone for doing your bit to be a part of the solution.
Assembly
Our next assembly will be held next week on Thursday, 19th August at 11:00am for K – 2 students, and 11:50am for our Grade 3 – 6 students. We hope to see as many of you as possible to celebrate student achievement and learning. Please make sure you check in whenever you visit the school including assemblies, and follow all normal COVID hygiene practices.
