From the Principal

After a busy start to the school year, the end of term is upon us! Some of the highlights have included our Athletics Carnival, NWPSSA Athletics Carnival, Harmony Day activities, PCYC, Grandparents' Day, and today's Grade 3-4 excursion to Launceston.

It has been great to see parents, family and community members helping to support our students and being part of these activities.

Garage Sale

Last week we held a garage sale to sell off unwanted furniture and equipment. Some of our community members also ran stalls.  Thank you to our Parents and Friends for organising the sausage sizzle and assisting with sales.  Monies raised to date is approximately $450.

Assembly

Yesterday, our SRC co-ordinated the end of term assembly. Well done to those students who showed excellent leadership skills in presenting in front of the school community.  Students' work this term was highlighted through presentations including the art frames, Robotics Program and class items.  Congratulations to those students who received recognition for their outstanding efforts this term.

Mr Brown is currently on leave for the next 5 weeks. He would like you all to know that he is finally getting to say goodbye to “the boot”.  He is currently excited to be in Sydney having his foot and lower leg amputated, enabling him to get on with his life pain free. He is looking forward to getting back to school early in Term 2.

In his stead, Miss Moore will be Acting Principal and Mrs Eiszele will be taking on further AST duties.  Mrs Donaghue will be teaching in Bilbies full time during this period.

Mrs Wilson will be taking Long Service Leave for 4 weeks. Mrs Evetts will be teaching in Prep Joeys Mondays - Wednesdays in her absence.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday, and we look forward to seeing you in Term 2!
