Athletics Carnival
Our school Athletics Carnival is always a highlight on our school calendar, bringing our school community together and supporting students trying their best and having fun.  Encouraging students to participate and have a go is the purpose of this event, while celebrating those students that have a real strength in running.  I was impressed with how students supported and encouraged each other and would like to congratulate all students in the sportsmanship they displayed.

A special congratulations to those Grade 3 – 6 students who have been selected to represent Boat Harbour Primary School at the North West carnival next week in Penguin.  We look forward to hearing about your experience when you return, good luck!

Car Park
We are working towards making the school car park as safe a place as it can be.  We are attempting to reduce the amount of foot traffic at the beginning and end of the school day at drop off and collection times.  Buses are now all parked in the same area, entering and exiting the school through the main entrance. 

In front of the Japanese garden area where students are currently collected after school there is a clear car park space.  We intend making this parking space a drop off and collection point each morning and afternoon.  It will be utilised similar to an airport drop off and collect zone. 

To make a safer flow of traffic and less foot traffic through the car park, parents are asked to enter the school through the main entrance off the highway and park horizontally by the bollards outside the Japanese garden to drop off or collect their children, then exit the car park through Dobson's Lane.  Parents wishing to park in the car park to drop off or collect their child are still welcome to do so.
