Principal's Report
It has been fantastic to celebrate the school year over the past week, especially at our end of year assemblies. To see students beam while sharing with parents and to celebrate achievements has been a wonderful way to end the 2020 school year. Students showcased the many varied learning opportunities that they have had during the year, recognising the unique year they have had and the opportunity to learn and communicate online. Thank you to parents for making the learning from home time be effective for your child, and to staff for proactively learning a new way to teach and support the development of students. There have been many positives for us to take forward into 2021 and we are looking forward to continuing to work with you next year.
Students in every class were recognised for achieving our school and Department goals – Respect, Aspiration, Courage and Growth. We know that if these values can be engrained in our students when they leave Grade 6, students will have the tools to lead successful and happy lives into the future.
This time of year is always a special time for our Grade 6 students as they farewell their primary school years. We wish these students all the best as they head to high school next year to begin the next exciting chapter in their lives. Congratulations to award recipients, you should be very proud of your achievements.
A massive thank you to the many volunteers that have contributed across our school. Without your generous and significant contributions our school would not be able to function as effectively as it does or offer the opportunities for students that we do, thank you!
We had planned to live stream our assemblies. This was not able to happen so they were recorded instead and will be loaded to SZapp ASAP. We hope you enjoy them.
Have a safe and enjoyable Christmas and holiday break, we can’t wait to see you in 2021!
