Last Wednesday, early childhood classes at Boat Harbour Primary participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country. This year the chosen text was Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas written and illustrated by Lucinda Gifford. Students across early childhood enjoyed a recording of Mr Brown reading the story. All children thoroughly enjoyed the story of two vibrant performing chooks. Below is 1-2 Hayes enjoying the story read by Mr Brown, and some of their Whitney and Britney artwork.
