In 3/4MD, we have been learning about authors purpose and genre. We learnt that genre is a category of books of a similar theme. There are lots of genres such as fantasy, adventure and scary books. We loved the idea of scary stories and decided that we would write our own spooky stories. To assist us, we have been reading some of Paul Jennings spookiest stories including ‘Without A Shirt’ and ‘Skeleton On The Dunny’. Here are some of our first drafts of our orientation paragraphs:
