Welcome to Term 3!

I have loved returning to Boat Harbour Primary School at the beginning of Term 3 to see every student learning, being respectful and creating a vibrant school environment. Thank you, Miss Hayes, for your leadership across the first two Terms of the school year and to staff for being incredibly invested in the learning and development of all students. I can’t wait to work with everyone throughout the remainder of the year, please do not hesitate to make contact with me or your child’s teacher if we can support you in any way.

Book Week Assembly

Book week will be held in week 5 this Term. This is an important time to celebrate books and a love of reading. We can’t wait to see all students showcase their favourite books and book characters, with Friday 22^nd August an opportunity to dress up and come to school. An assembly will be held on this day at 9.15am, with each class presenting their costumes and creativity to the rest of the school. Class awards will also be presented. We hope to see as many parents and friends attend and celebrate our students and their creativity.

Reading

Encouraging children to read helps them continually improve. We know that if every child can read that they have the opportunity to access the world!

We hope you're enjoying your reading and making the most of our library resources. We kindly remind everyone to take extra care when handling library books and home readers. To preserve these shared materials and to keep them safe for readers with allergies, please keep books away from food and drinks. Spills and stains can cause permanent damage, making books unusable for others.

Whether you're reading in the library, classroom, or at home, we ask that you store books safely and avoid eating or drinking while reading.
