In 5L and 5E our focus for HASS at the beginning of Term 2 has been the understanding the 3 levels of Government, Democracy and the current Election. We have discussed the word democracy and how it affects us and cooked and eaten Democracy Sausages. We have read the book If I Was Prime Minister by Beck and Robin Feiner and discussed the things we would do if we were Prime Minister. We have created our own political parties in the Menimbah electorate, created election posters, presented our parties policies in a speech and voted.
