In Grade 1, we LOVE being part of a hands-on learning environment, especially in Maths. This way of learning gives us an opportunity to put our new skills to use in a real-world context. Recently, we have become experts on understanding place value of 2-digit numbers and knowing that while a digit can be the same, its value depends on where it is in the number. Some of us even tried it out with 3-digit numbers! We can’t wait to use this knowledge to help us with addition and subtraction.
