Sorting and grouping in Kinder C
In Kinder C we have been learning about sorting and grouping objects. We have been sorting things by their colour, size and shape. We collected a variety of objects from around the classroom and grouped them into their colours, we did an activity where we sorted monsters by their size. We had a class discussion about when in our everyday lives we have seen things be sorted by size, shape or colour. Some examples that we came up with were:
At the pizza shop they have different sizes - Archie
When we are buying a coffee we can choose what size - Daisy
Clothes we wear have different sizes – Ivy
The bread is together in their types in the supermarket – Ellis
We sort the forks in our kitchen drawer – Riley
The fruits and vegetables at the supermarket are sorted – Merlo-Raine
