Principal's Report

Great start to Term 1!

The students have settled remarkably well into the new school year, quickly adapting to their routines and classroom expectations. Their enthusiasm and engagement in class activities demonstrate a promising start to the new school year. Overall, their seamless transition reflects a positive outlook for their continued growth and success throughout the year. Parents, please feel warmly welcomed to inquire about your child's progress and learning journey. Our aim is to foster an open and supportive environment between home and school, with the assurance that you are welcome to seek feedback anytime.

Athletics Carnival

The Boat Harbour Primary School Athletics carnival is a wonderful day on the school calendar, bringing so many from our school community together.  The carnival is designed to encourage participation, with every student trying their best and having fun. A big thanks to the numerous parents who attended, cheering on our athletes with immense support. Additionally, we extend a special thank you to the dedicated high school helpers and parent volunteers whose invaluable contributions were instrumental in making the day such a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved. The combination of running events and novelties allow individuals and teams to shine.

NAPLAN

Next week, students in grades 3 and 5 are participating in NAPLAN. This is just one aspect of a school’s assessment and reporting process- it does not replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance. Throughout the year we capture student learning in many different ways to track their progress and share their achievements with you. It is important to remember standardised testing doesn’t measure everything- a student’s unique talents, creativity and resilience are just as important, if not more so! This is a snapshot of student learning on one day of the year and we just encourage students to have a go and do their best!
