Principal's Report
It has been such a pleasure to come back to school and see the growth in all of our students. I am impressed in the positive and determined manner that students have been approaching their learning. The improvements they have made reflects their hard work, and I congratulate them for their focussed attitude. It has been wonderful to see smiling faces, hear laughter and witness the caring and kind way everyone interacts – being back this week has quickly reminded me of how lucky we are to have our school. It is so good to be back, I have missed being here and I look forward to enjoying the lead up to the festive season and celebrating the 2024 school year with everyone.
Hats/sunscreen
The weather has certainly been beautiful lately, and while we are lucky to be enjoying it, it is a reminder for us to be SunSmart. Please encourage your child to wear a hat and to apply sunscreen both at home and school. Thank you for helping keep our children safe and healthy.
Swimming
Learn to swim programs are well underway at our school at the moment. Students from Kinder – Grade 5 have been accessing swimming programs to assist them in being able to be safe around water. While some students are excellent swimmers and others are just learning, I consider this a vital skill for them to learn to help them be able to keep themselves safe in and around any waterways. Students have certainly enjoyed getting in the pool, their development after just one week has been excellent.
Triathlon
Congratulations to our triathletes! Some of our Grade 3 – 6 students travelled to Devonport today to participate in a triathlon. Some worked as a team to complete the swimming, cycling and running course, while others completed all three legs of the event themselves. Well done to everyone for having the courage to participate and for trying your best, we are proud of you!
