Never Eat Soggy Weetbix!

In 3/4D this term, we have been looking at mapping using grid coordinates and directional language. This has provided many fun learning experiences such as a class game of battleships to understand how coordinates work, plenty of games of 4 corners to understand the different directions on a compass (and lots of fun mnemonics to help us remember!), the opportunity to map the classroom using craft paper, and a chance to write directions for a peer out in the playground. As the final task of our unit of work, students then designed their own colourful and vibrant maps of their own island with a set of written directions.
