This term in 3/4D, we are learning about money. So far, we have looked at counting coin collections, making amounts with different groups of coins and notes, as well as calculating and giving change. We have been playing a variety of different games such as ‘Race to $10’, ‘Money, Money, Money!’ and ‘I have… Who has?’ where we compete as a class to beat our quickest time. We have also opened a class shop where students can spend classroom money they have earned in class by completing jobs to buy treats or extra play time. Students have really enjoyed the opportunity to earn and spend their classroom money and look forward to the mystery auction we are holding at the end of the term.
