In Term 1, Amanda Cox and Mim Zariffa ran a workshop with our students.

Amanda and Mim produced a series of children’s books that aim to embrace and celebrate the uniqueness of each child. I have read the books to the students, but it was a wonderful experience to have the author read to the students.

Following reading the book, Mim ran a drawing session with the students. She showed the students what it takes to paint a character. Students gasp for air as they found out that an eye on one of the characters can take 3-4 hours. Students learned very valuable drawing and colouring techniques. We are hoping to have Amanda and Mim back for a second session.
