In 3-4 G we have been building paper towers as part of a STEM challenge. Students were broken up into small groups and were given some newspaper, masking tape and scissors.

Each group then had to think of a design and discuss the best way to make the tallest tower they could. Students were given twenty minutes to build their towers. There were some successes and some failures. We then discussed as a class group the most successful elements of construction.
