Principal Report
Choir
Congratulations to the Boat Harbour Senior Choir on their performance at the Wynyard High School Arts Event. Students represented our school and themselves in an excellent manner, with Ms Ellis sharing that not only did they look beautiful, they sounded beautiful. Well done for being committed to practicing, showcasing your talent, trying your best and for performing at such an impressive level.
Athletics
From our school athletics carnival a team of Grade 3 – 6 students were selected to represent Boat Harbour Primary School at the North West Athletics carnival. Students competed in sprints, long distance running and field events. The determination and willingness of students to try new things was a highlight, with some excellent results rewarded to students with invitations to the twilight carnival for the athletics finals. A special congratulations to William Elphinstone on coming 3rd in the Grade 5 75m, and to Harry Gatenby for finishing 3rd in the 200m, 2nd in the 800m and 1st in the 1500m. Well done to all students for giving their best effort.
NAPLAN
NAPLAN results for our Grade 3 and 5 students have gone home to families this week. If you have any questions about your child’s results, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher to discuss them. Staff will use this information to help track student progress and identify key areas of learning to focus on and maintain.
