2-3W Learning
In Science in 2/3W we have been learning about the different types of forces. We completed an investigation looking at paper helicopters and how we can make them stay in the air for the longest amount of time. We tried changing their size, wing length and shape, and the weight of the tail. After changing some variables, we conducted some fair tests to see how long they stayed in the air. We then wrote a discussion explaining our results and represented them on a graph. In this investigation the forces of gravity and air resistance were in play. The air resistance on each propellor caused the helicopter to spin, and gravity is what causes it to fall through the air. We had lots of fun making and testing our helicopters!
