Welcome back to Learning!
Boat Harbour Primary School staff have all enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with students and families to support the learning of every student in our school. The level of support from parents is outstanding, we can see that you are doing everything that you can to encourage and guide your children. Whether your child is accessing learning from home or school, teachers are eager to communicate with you to assist with your child’s learning. Please do not hesitate to make contact with me or your child’s teacher to assist in any way with the learning for your child.
We recognise that at times some of the learning might be tricky. While we encourage persistence, the learning is not designed to be too challenging or to make things difficult at home. Always feel welcome to contact teachers for clarification, but if something is making things too hard, take a break, try a different activity, read a book, play a game or spend some time with your child doing a different activity.
The approach to this different way of learning has been impressive. Thank you to those families that have been able to support the learning of students from home. This has supported our school and community to be a safe place to be. To those families that have sent their children to school, we have loved seeing them and relished the opportunity to support their learning face to face. We fully understand that each family has their own context and are in a position to support their child’s learning in a way unique to them. There is no judgement as to whether your child attends school, is learning from home or is accessing a mixture of both – we will support learning no matter the scenario.
Over the coming weeks plans will be created for what things will look like in the future. These plans will be directly informed by Pubic Health and what is the safest approach for our communities. Home learning will continue for some time, I will keep you informed when plans from the Government and Education Department are set for this to change.
Keep up the fantastic work that you are doing! Stay connected with us at school, we want you to share learning and achievements from home as much as you can. Let us know if we can help with learning, structures or support – we are here to help.
Students have been busy learning from the classroom or home. It's wonderful to see the work all students have been doing.
Your child's learning from home pack is available for collection from the school hall. These packs also contain some things for your child to do for Mother's Day. You are welcome to collect the packs either today or tomorrow (Friday); anytime between 8:30am and 4:00pm.
