Thank you to everyone who attended the End of Year Celebration Night last Friday. Your support enabled every student to feel important and their learning valued. A highlight was recognising the achievement of so many of our students, including those from each class for the values of Aspiration, Courage, Growth and Respect. The school band and choirs both did an outstanding job with their performances and students' musical talents shone. We also had the opportunity to farewell our Grade 6 students who can now look forward to the next part of their educational journey as they prepare for High School. Congratulations to all students and staff.

This year, we say farewell to Lyn Donaghue, Jessica Morgan, Monique Gardner and Naomi Crutchett who will sadly be leaving us. We would like to acknowledge their hard work and dedication to BHPS and our students and we wish them well in their future endeavours. Next year, we look forward to Samantha Hayes joining our staff.
We would like to wish our entire school community a safe and happy Christmas and holiday period. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2020!
We have lots of lost property items spread along the stage in the hall (photos below). We also have a few valuable jewellery items that have been found and handed into the office - please see Miss Gardner if you are missing jewellery.
Don't forget our Canteen is closed all week. Tomorrow students are able to have a sausage in bread for lunch (free of charge) as part of the Whole School Fun Day in Ulverstone and Thursday & Friday you will need to ensure they have a packed lunch, please.
Our Canteen will re-open in Term 1, 2020.
Today our Kindergarten students were lucky enough to get a visit from the big fellow in red - SANTA!! Our Kindergarten students were very excited as Santa also brought them a book each for Christmas.
Don't forget P & F Raffle books are due back tomorrow, Wednesday, 18th December, ready for the raffle to be drawn on Thursday! Thank you again for your ongoing support with our fundraising efforts.
Tomorrow, our Kinder - Grade 6 students will be travelling to Ulverstone for a Whole School Fun Day. We will depart school via bus at 9.15am and return before the end of the school day to ensure students can catch their usual buses, etc. Whilst in Ulverstone, students will be able to participate in a range of activities, including going on the Ulverstone Waterslide and having a BBQ lunch.
Students need to remember to bring swimwear, towel, a plastic bag for wet gear, packed recess (snacks for lunch time), large drink and school hat.
Students can wear casual clothes tomorrow, but these must be sun safe. No sleeveless tops, shoulders must be covered when students are not swimming and sunscreen must be worn all day.
Parents are more than welcome to join us in Ulverstone but will need to make their own way to Ulverstone due to bus capacity.
School Bus Routes and Timetables 2020
When school returns in 2020, there will be changes to the Preolenna bus route and timetable. These changes are part of the Department of State Growth’s broader review of public transport services.
The Department of State Growth has released a summary of the changes via their website. Select Boat Harbour Primary School, then Map and Timetable for bus stop locations and times.

As the Spring netball season draws to an end, we would like to thank all the coaches, umpires and parent support that has enabled BHPS to have 3 teams in this roster. Special thanks to Theresa Weller who has coached/umpired over the past 4 years and will be leaving us as Georgia heads off to high school.
To all players, we hope you enjoyed your last rostered game for 2019 last weekend. We hope to see all our players and new ones on the court in 2020.
Congratulations to our Grade 6 netball team who participated in the Todd Rogers Netball Carnival a few weekends ago. The students had a great time on a beautiful day and played extremely well.
They placed 3rd in the top division which is an outstanding achievement, congratulations!
